The boards are compacted fragments of MS. and printed waste; the pastedowns proper are plain paper and there are additional small strips from several MSS. on vellum. The upper layers in each board seem to be taken from a 15th-cent. paper MS. which includes at one point 'Explicit prima pars Codicis Bartoli de Saxoferrato'.
