Brown calf over bevelled boards, rebacked. Cambridge binding by Garret Godfrey of an Intersecting rectangular outer roll frame extending to the edges, using griffin, wyvern, and lion (Oldham roll AN. f (1)), with a quatrefoil diaper roll pattern used twice in the inner panel (Oldham roll DI. a (1)). Catch-plates in situ on the back board for fore-edge clasps, now missing.
